I met Raju and Union station at 4:15p.m. and we headed to the ferry docks. He had made reservations for us at the Rectory Cafe restaurant on the Island. We took the ferry to Ward's Island as it was closer to the restaurant. It was very close in fact that we got there very early for our reservation. As we were hungry we decided to see if we could get a table. It wasn't very busy so that wasn't a problem. Dinner was quite tasty. We started with crab cakes. I then had mushroom and asparagus risotto with shrimp and Raju had lamb chops with couscous. We skipped dessert since we thought we would walk off our dinner as we headed to Centreville and have some funnel cake. However, by the time we got to Centreville, we were both still very full. We decided we would go back another day, just for funnel cake.
We were going to go the Drinks show but were too tired and came home instead.
It was a great date and just perfect. See all it takes is a little bit of planning to make me happy!
