A Magical Holiday Evening
Last night Raju met me after work and we stopped by the Distillery District. From December 3rd - December 12th they have Lowe's Christmas Market running. This is the first year they are running it. They have set up stalls throughout the Distillery area and even have a Ferris Wheel. The Ferris Wheel was not running when we were there. They also had beer gardens with fire pits and warmers but it was still too chilly to stay outside. Raju found a stall he liked that was selling many items from "A Christmas Story". They even had a Red Ryder BB gun. I can think of better ways to spend $70 though. After we finished wandering around we headed to the Mill St. pub for dinner. It was pretty busy, so we ended up getting a seat at the bar and eating there. As usual our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. We ordered chicken wings (10 each), sweet potato fries and shrimp tacos. I was stuffed!!!! Come January, it really will be necessary to start exercising and dieting again. But I'll just enjoy the holidays and not worry about it just yet.
