Disney Day 1

August 24th finally arrived after a loooong countdown.  Off we were going to cruise with Mickey and Minnie.  I was very excited!
I woke up at 5:30am showered and last minute packing.  Once everything was ready I went in and woke Samara up at 6:15am to get her ready.  No time for breakfast, but we planned to eat that once we checked in.  Just got her dressed and we were in the car and ready to leave by 6:45a.m
We decided to drive instead of taking an airport limo and parked in the Pearson value lot.  It wasn't too bad but did have to walk across lot to get the shuttle bus.  Not extremely easy with the stroller and luggage.  We managed though.
We checked in with some assistance and then headed to US customs.  This is where things got ridiculous.  They were only allowing you through to stand in the customs line if they called your boarding time and they were checking boarding passes to make sure no one went through before they were supposed to.  We had to wait 45 minutes before being allowed through and when we finally did get in we were put in the slowest line possible.  This landed us at gate just as people were boarding.  Poor Samara...we did manage to grab a quick muffin on the way to the gate and that was her breakfast.
The flight left on time and it was a busy one for me.  I had to keep Samara entertained the whole time as she did not sleep.  Stickers, trains, cars and colouring were my friends.  Once we landed in Orlando we easily found our way to the Disney area and waiting for our bus.  It was great because we didn't have to worry about getting our luggage.  They took care of all of that for us.
Sail Away Party
It was a 45 minute ride to the boat and Samara was so excited to be sitting in a seat all by herself and without a car seat.  It was way past her nap time but she finally ended up falling asleep about 15 minutes before we arrived at the boat.   Finally we got to the port and had our view of this huge boat.  We boarded and found Mom, Dad and Auntie K were waiting in lobby.  I feel bad as we sort of said a quick hi and then brushed past them to get to the room and hopefully have Samara sleep a bit more.  Of course not, as soon as we entered the room she woke up.  It worked out as we managed to get to the buffet just before it closed for lunch.  And even though they were closing we still managed to eat lamb and shrimp.
After lunch we had to go to an emergency drill and then after that headed out to the deck for the sail away party.  This is where we met up with Camilla and fam, Mom and Dad and Auntie K. It was so much fun to be dancing on the deck.  Our vacation had officially begun.
We went back to room to relax and get ready for dinner.  We were on the first seating at 5:45p.m.  This night we ate at the Enchanted Garden.  Tamryn and Putra were our servers and would be with us for the whole week.  The food is amazing.  For dinner I shared lobster ravioli, mushroom, garlic brioche and tuna for appetizer, followed by spinach raspberry salad, and caramalized scallops for my main.  I ended with a trio of desserts.
To work off all that food Samara, Raju and I stopped at lobby for some dancing with a live singer and then it was back to the room to go to bed.  We were tuckered out and couldn't stat awake for any shows.

Stay tuned for more....
