Tonight after work I met up with Mel for the buffet dinner at Hot House. The food was delicious as usual. I even managed to save room for dessert (cheesecake and white cake). My favourites were there (cheese capelletti and BBQ chicken) as well as something new (fish pie). I think this means I've taken a slight detour from my diet for the big event in a couple of weeks. Not to worry I'll get back on that tomorrow.
Better than the food was the company and conversation. Every now and then it's important to have a good chat with a girlfriend. It helped to talk through some things and look at it with a different perspective and to confirm the one that I have.
